Itaru escapes Tokyo in an attempt to deal with a personal crisis but ends up drunk and unconscious on a pile of trash. A local cable TV cameraman named Kouki films the incident, and the two eventually become roommates and colleagues. They work at a company filled with eccentric people, including a cheerful cross-dresser. Tensions and misunderstandings between Itaru and Kouki persist as they navigate their shared living and working situations.
