A series of unexplained murders has caused widespread unease. Anne appears to be a normal teenager, but possesses an unknown quality that draws vampires to her. Whether it is her blood type or another factor remains unclear. Vampires have begun to appear in her city, including at her school. Anne is aided in her situation by her protective brother and a mysterious new arrival.
