A woman finds herself reborn into a romance novel as the antagonist. She knows the story's heroine, Cheng Wei, is meant to end up with someone else, and she decides to take matters into her own hands by pursuing Cheng Wei herself. As she begins to develop feelings for the heroine, she notices that the other characters are acting toward her in ways that differ from what she remembers in the original narrative.
