A high school student named Togami Masato experiences constant bad luck but manages to cope through optimism and support from friends, while secretly working as an exorcist. One day, a figure named Kichi,自称 the "Goddess of Fortune," appears. Initially pleased, Masato soon learns that Kichi was once the "Goddess of Misfortune" who recently switched roles but lacks proficiency in generating good fortune. Their unusual living arrangement begins as the boy with the worst luck in Japan shares a home with a deity struggling to fulfill her new role.
