A character encounters a Mahou Shoujo, sparking the beginning of their journey. Determined to rescue Hoshi Karen, a Mahou Shoujo who continued to protect despite being chased by tanks, Kokone takes on Karen's Grimoire. She resolves to become a Mahou Shoujo herself, a title the world regards as "Calamity."
