Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha

A nine-year-old Japanese girl named Nanoha Takamachi encounters a wounded ferret who transforms into a young mage named Yuuno Scrya. Yuuno is an archaeologist from another universe searching for twenty-one ancient artifacts called the "Jewel Seeds," which he previously found in his own world. These objects grant powerful abilities to those who touch them but often lead to monstrous transformations. Injured during his search, Yuuno takes the form of a ferret and depends on Nanoha to recover.
