A young man named Eiji has earned the title of "hero" due to his exceptional sword skills. The Sacred Sword, the only weapon capable of defeating monsters, is controlled by the temple of Seirin, which also maintains authority over the warriors. Disapproving of this arrangement, Eiji chooses to abandon his hero status and instead trains with the dwarves to craft a sword that can rival and surpass the Sacred Sword, with the aim of creating a world where people no longer live in fear of monsters.
