Mamagoto

A woman who owns a hostess bar in a dilapidated neighborhood, and whose child died due to her carelessness in her youth, is asked by a former coworker from the nightclub industry to take care of a young boy. She gradually returns to a parental role. Through tender and affectionate scenes as well as ironic humor, the manga explores how individuals at the margins of society cope with past pain while striving to live bravely and envision a "normal family."
