Makebe is a quiet girl who often stumbles when she feels flustered or surprised. Riou Taira is a well-liked student who secretly enjoys shoujo manga, a fact he hides until Makebe discovers him reading one in a bookstore. A teacher assigns Taira the task of helping Makebe interact better with her classmates. As they spend time together, the nature of their relationship begins to shift.
