Three students—Akane, Shiraishi, and Eki—attend the same school and are members of the physics club. Akane leads the club, Shiraishi is known for his intelligence, and Eki has an unpredictable nature and an interest in the occult. After Eki has a dream predicting a plane crash and a shipwreck, she questions why planes stay airborne and ships remain afloat. This leads the group to explore the field of hydrodynamics, also known as fluid mechanics. Eki and Akane ask Shiraishi to explain the science, and together they embark on a journey to understand the properties and behaviors of fluids, uncovering principles that influence everyday life.
