Manga Musical "Touken Ranbu" Bakumatsu Tenrouden

In the year 2205, the Time Government dispatches agents known as Saniwa to the past to stop the "Historical Revisionists" from altering history. These Saniwa awaken the spirit-like beings called "Touken Danshi" that reside in swords. A new mission is assigned to a group led by Hachisuka Kotetsu, including Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Yamatonokami Yasusada, Izuminokami Kanesada, Horikawa Kunihiro, and Nagasone Kotetsu. Hachisuka is unsettled by Nagasone, whom he believes to be a fake. The mission takes place in 1864, during the first year of the Genji era, with the Shinsengumi as the target. Kashuu and Yamatonokami were once swords of Okita Souji, Izuminokami and Horikawa belonged to Hijikata Toshizo, and Nagasone was Kondo Isami’s sword. Their former masters’ presence causes internal conflict among the Touken Danshi. Meanwhile, the History Retrograde army, controlled by the Revisionists, approaches. The purpose of Yamatonokami Yasusada's actions remains unclear as the army's ultimate goal is unknown.
