Mangaka! Sekai Bungaku: Tanbi to Heroine

This collection features manga adaptations of classic literary works, each reimagined by a different shoujo manga artist. The first entry is by Moto Hagio, adapting a story by Hans Christian Andersen titled "Shiroi Tori ni Natta Shoujo." Ryouko Yamagishi adapts "Cendrillon" from the Brothers Grimm. Miyako Maki offers a take on "Hana Kagerou" from *Genji Monogatari* by Murasaki Shikibu. Suzue Miuchi contributes an excerpt from *Glass no Kamen* based on "Takekurabe" by Higuchi Ichiyou. Yasuko Sakata adapts "Ohi to Nemurihime" from Charles Perrault. Kyoko Fumizuki adapts "Shiroki Mori no Chi ni" by Louis Hémon. Hideko Mizuno presents "Rapunzel, Rapunzel" from the Brothers Grimm, and Shio Satou adapts "Bijo to Yajuu" by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont.
