Aoi is a young journalist in Taishō-era Tokyo, a city experiencing both growth and unease due to a series of murders. While looking into the killings, she encounters someone from her past—Shutaro, a friend she believed to be dead. Unbeknownst to her, Shutaro is a vampire serving in a specialized government unit. He is involved in a conflict against forces threatening the city.
