Marshmallow Bungaku Girl

During the late Meiji Period, Japan is modernizing, and Mone Hoshino is a student at a private all-girls high school in Tokyo, living with her male guardian. While society expects women to be modest and marriage-ready, Mone is more interested in literature. Because writing is seen as inappropriate for women, she shaves her head, wears boys' school uniforms, and joins an all-male literary club. Despite some challenges from her decision, the friendships she forms help her develop her skills and find creative inspiration as they explore the city together.
