Sokabe is a salaryman who lives in an apartment far from his job. He chooses not to move because of his feelings for his neighbor, Motoi. One evening, after losing his belongings, Sokabe goes to the caretaker's door for a spare key and runs into Motoi, who offers help. Sokabe notices BL books in Motoi’s room and is caught looking through them, causing him to panic. Motoi assumes Sokabe shares his interest in BL, but Sokabe is actually gay. To avoid revealing the truth, Sokabe pretends to be a fellow fudanshi.
