Dr. Taima uses a special technique involving needles known as taimashin to expel harmful spirits and parasites. Partnered with his assistant, Maki Togetsu, he investigates a surge in demonic possessions causing people to transform into violent creatures. Their search takes them to Dunwich, Massachusetts, where they meet another practitioner, Kyogo Ayakashi. Together, they confront ancient threats that should remain hidden.
