In the rugged northern mountains, a group of skilled hunters known as "Matagi" use their expertise and firearms to pursue their prey. For them, the wilderness is both a rival and a companion in the unforgiving cycle of seasons. Their perspectives reveal a world rich with the essence of the forest. Among them is Sanshiro, a young hunter nicknamed "Wild Strawberry Drop," and Sarumaru, a sharpshooter known for his quick-firing abilities despite potential drawbacks.
