A quiet high school student who is often teased, Matsuyama, and a reserved girl in his class, Kobayashi, are not close. One day, she takes him to the rooftop to share her feelings for him. Matsuyama, however, struggles with a secret—he cannot reveal that when he gets near her, he sees her as a terrifying creature. He maintains a three-meter distance to cope, yet he still feels affection for her.
