Aki Niizuma is employed at a wedding venue, editing closing films, though she harbors a strong dislike for marriage and romantic relationships. While commuting to work, she discovers an enigmatic red envelope, which leads to her being compelled to wed a ghostly bride named Mei. With only 49 days before the marriage to the deceased can be legally dissolved, Aki and Mei must work together to locate Mei's true partner.
