In a kingdom known as Loire, a widespread belief warns that touching a rose can bring a curse. Ines, a merchant's daughter, tends to roses in her village without fear of the supposed curse. However, she keeps a hidden secret—each new moon forces her to be confined in her home's cellar. When an issue with her father's merchant ship compels him to leave just before a new moon, Ines awakens in a palace she does not recognize. Inside, she encounters a mysterious wizard. With the presence of a black rose, a romantic tale between a princess and a wizard begins.
