Mirai no Futatsu no Kao

By the middle of the 21st century, a global computer network oversees significant aspects of global operations. A proposed software upgrade introduces an artificial intelligence, granting the system new levels of independent decision-making. Concerns arise about the appropriate amount of control to entrust to a non-human intelligence. To evaluate the system, a new space-station habitat is created as a scaled-down world for testing the fully operational AI, named Spartacus. The mini-world is subjected to a series of increasing tests to gauge the system's responses and abilities. If Spartacus becomes uncontrollable, the system can be terminated and the station destroyed, unless Spartacus chooses to act independently and confront Earth.
