Mirror Image

Karen Aylward views Hal Chissolm, a powerful newspaper owner, as cruel. He had rejected Kirsty, Karen’s pregnant twin sister, leading her to give up their child for adoption, with Karen raising the boy. Kirsty later died in a terrorist attack and, on her deathbed, revealed the existence of the child to Hal, who had no prior knowledge of him. Hal now seeks the son he never knew and pressures Karen to marry him, threatening to take the child otherwise. Though Karen initially believed Hal to be emotionless, she now recognizes his feelings, which provoke strong emotions in her.
