Mitsubachi no Bouken

A manga created by Akira (Leiji) Matsumoto in 1954, it was completed in November 1953 and submitted to the "Shinjin ō" contest by Manga Shounen magazine. At fifteen years old, Matsumoto won the competition, marking the start of his career as a mangaka. The work saw international publication in 2018 with Italian and French editions, approved by Matsumoto. The Italian version was reprinted in 2021 by the Leiji Matsumoto Cultural Association. In Japan, it was republished in 2014 as part of a collection of previously unpublished and early works by Matsumoto.
