Mofuku no Hanayome

Yukito is mistreated by the adults in his life. His mother left him with his stepfather at a young age, and the abuse began after Yukito started resembling her. He faces unwanted attention from older men, including his stepfather's colleague, who assaults him during a dinner he attended in place of his father. After the incident, Yukito is left in a weakened state and is picked up by a taxi driver named Haruki Goto. Too dazed to stand, Yukito is nearly carried by Haruki, but suddenly strikes him. The events of that night remain unclear to Yukito. A future encounter between the two arises when Yukito's stepfather is also present in the taxi.
