Takahashi's initial work for children's manga centers on a large alien rabbit named MOON, who crash-lands in Japan and seeks assistance from a boy called Shota. MOON's goal is to return to his home planet, and Shota becomes his helper. Early parts of the story focus on Shota's struggle to conquer his fear of heights. The series first appeared in the Shougaku Sannensei magazine.
