Mother Parasite

Ryota Miki, a middle school student, lives with his single mother, whose constant fear of causing any trouble makes their relationship unusual. In contrast, his classmate Kaoru Kasai resents his overprotective mother, blaming her for his experiences with bullying. The two boys interact for the first time when Ryota intervenes to help Kaoru after an incident of bullying. The story develops into a psychological suspense narrative centered on Ryota's intense pursuit of what he believes to be the ideal mother figure.
