Abe Takahiro is a normal high school student who develops feelings for his classmate Asai Rumi, an art club member he finds attractive. Unbeknownst to him, Rumi is a dedicated yaoi enthusiast who firmly believes that Takahiro and Shunsuke Chiba, a popular classmate and Takahiro's former middle school friend, are in a passionate relationship. This misunderstanding leads to awkward situations and half-hearted attempts at confession. Adding to the complexity is Matsui Yoko, the class idol, who is also an otaku with a crush on Rumi. Takahiro must navigate these confusing dynamics to pursue a relationship with Rumi.
