An anthropologist, Shinohara, brings the son of a Gawan tribal chief from New Guinea to Japan to study the tribe's secrets. After Shinohara's death under mysterious circumstances, his daughter Namiko travels to New Guinea, following hints from Gawan myths. There, she reunites with Kodowa and experiences strange and inexplicable events. The story explores themes tied to flood myths and the origins of the world.
