Choi Sun-Woo comes from a family of accomplished writers, with a linguistics professor father and a successful author mother, positioning him for a career in literature. Ahn Hae-Jin, in contrast, grew up largely on his own, relying on part-time jobs to get by during high school. The two, as the only members of their school's creative writing club, form an unexpected friendship that ends abruptly after a conflict, leading them to lose contact for years. They later reconnect when both are employed at the same publishing company. Attempting to maintain a professional relationship, they find that their reunion stirs up unresolved emotions and painful memories from their past.
