Mushikago no Cagaster

In 2125, a mysterious illness known as "Cagaster" emerges, infecting one out of every thousand individuals and transforming them into cannibalistic insect-like creatures. The outbreak results in the deaths of two-thirds of the global population. Three decades later, Kidou, a skilled exterminator of insects, and Ilie, a new companion, navigate the harsh remnants of society. They seek to uncover the origins and nature of the plague while attempting to survive in a world ravaged by its effects.
