Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse

In 1973, after a brutal six-year Lunar War, an alien species called the BETA invades Earth, causing massive destruction and killing billions, particularly in Eurasia. Survivors from the fallen region work at an Alaska-based facility to develop a new tactical surface fighter. Yuuya, a skilled but difficult pilot, is transferred from the U.S. Army to a joint US and Japan project. He encounters pilots from various countries, including Yui, a disciplined imperial soldier with whom he frequently argues. Yuuya also meets Cryska and Inia, enigmatic Soviet pilots known as the Scarlet Twins.
