A world-renowned mathematician and physicist, Francis Dullam, loses his left brain hemisphere and shifts his focus from hard science to studying dolphins. After retiring, he compiles dolphin footage into a controversial thesis that draws heavy media criticism. Ishii Mitsunari, a student in America, identifies a hidden concept in Dullam's work that could lead to the development of true artificial intelligence. Determined to be the first to create the AI, Mitsunari travels to Okinawa to investigate Dullam's research further.
