NARUTO Shinden Series (2018)

A light novel series began with *Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls* in 2016, but was officially launched in 2018 with three new novels to mark the 25th anniversary of Shueisha Jump jBooks. Initially intended to connect the *Naruto* and *Boruto* series, the 2018 release instead centered on themes of parent-child relationships. The first novel, *Parent and Child Day*, was adapted into an arc in the *Boruto* anime. *Sasuke Shinden: The Teacher's Star Pupil* follows later, set after the Momoshiki arc in *Boruto*. The third, *Shikamaru Shinden: A Cloud Dancing in Forlorn Falling Petals*, is based on the Mujina Bandits arc from the *Boruto* manga, which was also adapted into the anime.
