Neko to Jii-chan

An elderly man named Daikichi resides in a small island town where he has lived his whole life. Despite the arrival of younger people and gradual changes to the town's scenery, Daikichi remains a constant presence. The manga, which portrays the daily lives of Daikichi and his cat Tama, was selected as a Jury Pick at the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2015. It was later adapted into a live-action film that was released on February 22, 2019.
