A potter's older brother crafts a lifelike clay doll named Nene, which appears so realistic that Shunta, the younger brother, wishes she were real. The following day, Nene becomes alive, capable of movement and bringing other clay dolls to life through kisses. Her existence is soon disrupted by an unusual inventor who has created a male android.
