A veteran adventurer named Baru performs simple tasks for the guild, such as carrying supplies and assisting with various duties. He is seen as an unremarkable man who contentedly lives in the capital city. Colleagues and townspeople appreciate his kindness and willingness to help, though they are unaware of his true identity. In reality, Baru is Bartholomeus, one of the “Eight Glories,” recognized as the strongest among them. He is accompanied by an elf who trusts him completely, and together they carry out his duties.
