A female thief named Chico is the central figure of the story. She is considered the spiritual successor to a character known as Kaijin Nijū-Menno, also called The Fiend with 20 Faces. This character was created by the renowned suspense and detective writer Ranpo Edogawa. The narrative is based on a manga that has been adapted into an anime.
