Ningen Shikkaku

A young man from a wealthy family in northern Japan struggles with emotional isolation in modern-day Tokyo. Yozo Oba hides his inner turmoil behind a mask of false cheer, a habit formed in high school due to poor health and past abuse by a family member. His life is divided into three sections, described as "memorandums," covering his experiences from adolescence into his late twenties.
