In 1962, Isao Shibata began his career as a pitcher for the Giants but was advised to move to the field after his skills went unnoticed. While feeling disheartened, he encountered a girl named Kiriko, who gave him a book on Kouga Ninjutsu she had discovered in her hometown. Inspired by her, Shibata decided to restart as a fielder and gradually studied the ninja techniques detailed in the book.
