Nippon Furusato Chinbotsu

Parody anthology pegged to the film adaptation of Sakyou Komatsu's bestselling disaster novel Nihon Chinbotsu, in which Japan gradually sinks beneath the sea. Twenty-one short manga by different artists riff on the source material, with many contributors setting their pieces in or referencing their own hometowns. The lineup spans straight comedy, satire and absurd takes on the apocalypse, with contributions from authors including Hideo Azuma, Yoshitoo Asari, Hiroki Endo, Kenji Tsuruta, Hisaichi Ishii, Katsuya Terada, TONO, Tony Takezaki and Shinichi Hiromoto, covering regional sinking scenarios from Hokkaido and Tokorozawa to Kyoto and Okayama.
