A blind warrior named Sumeragi Hotsuma uses a ring to produce sounds capable of killing demons. He teams up with Hiragi Ranku, a high school student skilled in the martial art Sappo and known for her bravery in fighting without weapons. They face off against gods in battles set in Okinawa, an island that serves as a barrier to protect Japan from malevolent deities and demons.
