Nodame Cantabile

Shinichi Chiaki, a music student and son of a renowned pianist, aspires to study abroad and become a conductor under his mentor's guidance. His fear of flying, however, prevents him from pursuing this dream. As others around him accomplish what he desires, Shinichi begins to doubt his future in music. He meets Megumi Noda, a student known as Nodame, who lacks basic life skills and cannot read sheet music but plays the piano with a unique Cantabile style. Through her, Shinichi is reminded of the joy of music, regardless of his circumstances.
