Condemned for adultery, Evelyn Cordelia faces execution as onlookers label her a witch. She claims innocence, asserting that only God knows the truth. Just before her sentence is carried out, she glimpses a familiar figure smiling among the crowd—possibly her deceased husband. Awakening later, she discovers herself in a time prior to her marriage. Determined to uncover the truth, she seeks to identify the man who faked his death, the one who destroyed her family, and the person who falsely accused her of infidelity. To do so, she may have to embrace a role as the villain in her own past.
