A young rakugo performer named Akatsuki, known by the stage name Kuroinu Hoteiya, draws envy from others due to his apprenticeship under the accomplished and young Master Koroku. However, few are aware of the truth behind the scenes: despite his stage success, Koroku suffers severe stage fright before every performance, and Akatsuki is deeply in love with him.
