Ayuka, who has a tomboyish personality, has had a crush on her childhood friend Sakamoto for some time. During her third year of middle school, she meets Sally-chan, who becomes her new friend. Sally-chan appears to have romantic feelings for Sakamoto as well. The story explores whether Ayuka will find the confidence to express her own feelings before Sally-chan does.
