Fujimori and Matsuda were classmates in high school and later in college. Fujimori often spent time with Matsuda, pretending to be drawn in by his skill at making sweets, though he didn't realize his own feelings. After Matsuda left for a job in Tokyo, Fujimori stopped contacting him. Five years later, they meet again by chance.
