Okuriya: Shisha wo Okuru Yasashiku Bukiyou na Hitotachi
送り屋 死者を送る優しく不器用な人たち
Segawa Takumi used to avoid close relationships as an adult, frequently changing his job and residence to escape unwanted attention. He also kept secret his ability to see and communicate with ghosts, fearing others would find him strange. Ghosts, he noticed, are often kinder than they were in life, their negative emotions seemingly erased after death. Now, Takumi works at a company where others share his ability. They assist law enforcement and insurance firms by speaking directly with ghosts to uncover details of their deaths. Part of the job involves helping these spirits move on after their cases are resolved. As a new employee, Takumi must learn from his colleagues how to connect with ghosts and address their unresolved feelings. The challenge remains whether he can truly empathize with others after years of isolation.
