A high school boy named Yuzuru Takasegawa, to avoid a matchmaking date, tells his grandfather he will only accept a marriage arrangement with a Japanese woman who is beautiful, has blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. A few days later, he is paired with his classmate, Alisa Yukishiro, who fits all his specified criteria, for a blind date. Both are tired of being pressured into matchmaking due to their influential families and decide to pretend to be engaged for mutual benefit.
