Kouki lacks hobbies, friends, a romantic partner, steady employment, and a sense of purpose. After a confrontation with some youths leaves him stabbed, he assumes it will end his life. As he nears unconsciousness, he sees an attractive "angel." A month later, he discovers he has inexplicably recovered, faces massive financial debt, and finds the angel living with him as an amnesiac roommate.
