On a rainy day, Motoi and Reiichi encounter a girl who appears to be a foreigner and leads them to a shop located on a hillside. The shop is run by an elderly man named Shouten, who specializes in exotic animals, including demon beasts. Intrigued by the shop’s unusual creatures, Motoi decides to work there and care for a demon. His experiences with various demon beasts mark the beginning of his journey.
